Methi Pudina Chicken Fry/Fenugreek Mint Chicken Fry

Methi pudina chicken /Chicken gravy with fenugreek leaves and mint leaves is a very tasty recipe which I prepared while trying the variations for chicken fry. It came out very tasty and mouthwatering. The chicken is fried along with mint leaves, fenugreek leaves, onion, tomato and some light spices. Try it and tell me how u liked it. Preparation time: 30min

Chicken pieces - 400gm
Green chilli -2
Coriander leaves
Tomato- 2
Kasur methi -2tspoon /Freshly chopped fenugreek leaves -1/4cup
Mint leaves paste or dry powder-2tspoons
Ginger garlic paste- 1/2tspoon
Red chilli powder-2tspoon
Cumin powder-1/2 tspoon
Garam masala powder- 1 to 2 tspoons
Dhaniya/Coriander seeds Powder- 1 tspoon
Turmeric powder-pinch
Salt to taste


  1. Chop green chilli,onion, tomato, coriander leaves into small pieces.
  2. In a pan add oil. when oil is hot add onion, green chilli, turmeric, salt , mint leaves powder, kasuri methi/Fresh chopped fenugreek leaves and fry for few minutes.
  3. Add chicken pieces and mix well. Close the lid and let it boil for 10 minutes.(Between this 10min mix well)
  4. When chicken is 3/4th boiled -add tomatoes, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, garam masala powder,dhaniya /Coriander seeds powder, salt as per taste and one small glass water.
  5. Mix well and close the lid to boil for 5 min.
  6. Remove lid and check for required gravy consistency.
  7. Methi pudina Chicken fry will be ready to serve.
