Ingredients:
For Bisibele bath powder:
Byadagi chillies [Less spicy variety] -8
Guntur chillies[ very spicy variety]-5
Coriander seeds/Dhaniya- 2tspoons
Urad dal -4tspoons
Chana dal -4tspoons
Cinnamon -1 inch
Clove -1
Asafoetida -Little quantity
Bisibele bath:
Oil -1/4 tablespoon
Mustard seeds -1/4 tspoon
Chopped Onion -1/2 cup
Chopped tomato -1/2 cup
Vegetables small quantity each -Carrot, Green peas, Capsicum [Can use vegetables as of your choice]
Bisibele bath -6 tspoons [or as of requirement]
Jaggery powder-1 tspoon
Tamarind -little quantity
Dry coconut powder -2 tspoons
Water -4 cups or more
Salt -as per taste
Washed Rice -1/2 cup
Washed Toor dal -1/4 cup
Chopped Coriander leaves
Ghee - 4 tspoons
Method:
- Dry roast all the ingredients mentioned in bisibelebath powder for few minutes, let it cool and grind it to powder, This powder can be prepared in large quantity and stored or get one Ready bisibele bath powder pack.
- Take a pressure cooker,Add oil When oil is hot add the ingredients mentioned above in bisibelebath one by one with 30 secs gap and saute in between. Check the taste of water now to adjust if it requires more salt and bisibelebath powder, salt and spice should be little extra as it get absorbed with rice.
- Close the lid of cooker and let it cook for 4-5whistles in medium flame.
- Once the pressure subsides, open the lid. If the consistency of bisibele bath is good for you then can serve the bisibelebath . Or else if you like more gravy consistency type then take required amount of water in a bowl, bring it to boil and add it to the bisibelebath, stirr well and adjust the salt as per your requirement.
