Moong dal curry

Moong dal curry is a tasty recipe prepared using moong dal. It is famous in Asian countries, The flavors vary as the places varies. 
It is prepared with boiled moong dal , onion, green chillies and ginger. I have not added coconut while i prepared it but adding grated coconut to the recipe enhances the taste. The description is provided below. Do prepare and let me know how you liked it.

Servings:For 10 chapathis
Ingredients:
Split Moong dal boiled -1cup
Oil-4tspoon
Mustard seeds -1/4tspoon
Onion-1/2
Chopped Green chillies -2
Hing/Asafoetida-pinch
Coriander leaves
Crushed ginger-pinch
Turmeric powder-pinch
Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Keep ready boiled moong dal.
  2. In a kadai add oil, when oil is hot add mustard seeds,Asafoetida,chopped green chilli,onion,crushed ginger,salt,turmeric powder  and saute.
  3. Add boiled Moong dal,salt and coriander leaves, mix properly.
  4. Adjust to required consistency of curry/gravy by adding water. Cook well.
  5. Moong dal curry for chapathi, roti will be ready to serve
