Spicy Chicken Gravy (My Mom's Recipe)

 

Spicy Chicken Gravy- This is a very tasty dish which I prepared for a party. I prepared a large quantity for the party. This is my mom's recipe, very easy and simple, but trust me its very tasty. You can prepare it spicy or non-spicy too. Do try it and let me know whether you like it or not.
Preparation time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:
Chicken - 3kg
Green Chillies -10 -15(as per the choice of spiciness)
Coriander leaves/cilantro- 1/2 bunch
Mint leaves -1/4 bunch
Grated coconut-2 cups
Garlic - 1 whole clove
Ginger-2 inches
Black pepper whole -15
Clove -6
Cinnamon -2 inches
Crystal as per taste
Curry leaves -few
Onion -1/2
Tomato Big size -5
Coriander Powder -1/2 cup
Oil - 1 cup
Lemon juice of 1 lemon for garnishing

Method:
  1. Wash the chicken pieces well and drain the water.
  2. Chop the onion and tomatoes
  3. Take all the ingredients mentioned above(except Chicken, Turmeric powder, lemon juice and  oil)  in a mixie/blender
  4. Make a smooth paste.
  5. Take a big kadai/cooking vessel -Add Oil.
  6. When the oil is hot , add the chicken pieces, turmeric powder and very less quantity of salt.
  7. Close the lid and cook.
  8. When the chicken is half cooked- add the masala prepared into it.
  9. Cook for some more time.
  10. Switch off the stove and pour lemon juice.
  11. Garnish with Coriander leaves.
  12. Spicy chicken gravy is ready to serve.
