Paneer 555

Paneer 555 is an Mouthwatering recipe. Many of us would have eaten in restaurants. But how about preparing it at home.Main ingredients is ofcourse Paneer, along with Spices, Jalapeno,Onion,Cashewnuts.
Paneer 555 is an appetizer/starter, in which battered Paneer is deep fried &tossed with onions,Jalapeno & cashewnuts spicy sauce.The description of recipe is here.

For Marination:
Cubes of Paneer 250gms
Maida flour- 2 tablespoons
Salt as per taste
Red chilli paste-1 tablespoon
Food Color (red) -a pinch (optional)

For sauce:
Finely chopped onion - 1 small onion
Chopped Jalapeno-1 or slit green chillies -2
Coarse paste of garlic- 1 tablespoon
Finely chopped cashew nuts- half cup
Red chilli paste-2 tablespoon
Green chilli sauce - 1 tablespoon
Soya sauce -1.5 tablespoon
Tomato ketchup - 1 tablespoon
Water - 1 cup
Salt as per taste

Oil to deep fry marinated paneer


Note: Adjust spiciness as per your need
  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned in marination,  keep for 30 minutes or an hour in room temperature. 
  2.  Shallow fry paneer cubes to get soft paneer cubes and until its golden color.
  3. To a nonstick pan, add oil, garlic, onion, cashew nut,  jalapeno/green chilli. Mix well for few minutes.
  4. Add  coriander leaves, green chilli sauce, red chilli paste, soya sauce and tomato ketchup and  less quantity of salt.
  5. Take a cup- add 1/2 cup of water, 2 tablespoon of corn flour and salt, make a thin paste and add to the mixture in the pan. Stir well. 
  6. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
  7. Now add deep fried marinated paneer nd mix well/ toss it well.
  8. Transfer to serving Bowl.
  9. Hot and spicy Paneer 555 ready to eat.
