Butter chicken is a must try dish and it is favourites of Nonvegetarians. It will be a awesome combination with Naan, roti, chapathi, Kulcha... Many of my friends tried and was very happy about the taste.... Addition of butter and fresh cream enhances the taste of the chicken amazingly. Also it is an easy recipe to prepare for parties and functions. The detail of recipe is provided below

For Marination:
Chicken pieces -250gms
Salt
Ginger garlic paste -1tspoon
Red chilli powder -1tspoon
Lemon juice -1/2tablespoon
Oil -1/2tablespoon
Masala:
Butter-1tbsp
Chopped Onion-1 cup
Ginger garlic paste-3tspoons
Red chilli powder -1tspoon
Chopped tomatoes-1.5cups
Cashewnuts -1/2cup
Vinegar -1tspoon[optional]
Kasoori methi-1tspoon
Chicken masala powder -2tspoons
Curd -2tspoons
Fresh cream- 1/4cup [optional]

Method:
- Add the ingredients mentioned for marination in a bowl, mix well and keep it for 20 minutes or more in refrigerator.
- Take a pan, add some quantity of oil for shallow frying and fry the marinated chicken pieces. Let it cook to almost done.Transfer to a bowl.
- To the same, Add butter- Add chopped onion, saute. Add chopped tomatoes, cashewnuts. Add 2cups of water and let the tomatoes cook completely and become soft.
- Now add -Ginger Garlic paste, Vinegar, Red chilli powder, salt, chicken masala powder, 2tspoons of curd. Mix well. Add water if required. Cook until entire ingredients become mashy and smooth.
- Let this mixture cool, and make it to a smooth paste.
- Transfer the smooth masala paste to a kadai, add water about a 2 cups, to get desired consistency.when its boiling- add 2 tspoon of butter,1 tspoon of kasuri methi powder and fried chicken pieces.Cook for some more time. Garnish with Fresh cream and cilantro.The tasty Butter chicken will be ready.
