Dry fruit Barfi/ Sugar free Sweet

Dry fruit barfi is an Indian sweet/Indian Mithai. Simple and easy sweet recipe without adding Sugar. This energy bar is very delicious, nutritious and sugar free sweet.The sweetness is from dates, figs and raisins. This home made sweet suits well for festivals, functions and celebrations. Dry fruit  barfi with ingredients and method.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 12-15 Pieces


Ingredients:
Pitted Dates - 1 cup
Almonds- 1/2 cup
Figs/dry Anjeer- 6 to 10
Raisins - 25 gms (optional)
Pistachio-25 gms
Walnut-5 to 6
Cashewnut -1/4 cup
Poppy seeds -1/2 tsp
Cardamom Powder -1/2 tsp
Dry Grated coconut-1 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tsp

Method:
  1. Grind the pitted dates and raisins coarsely.
  2. Grind the figs to get a coarse paste
  3. Heat a teaspoon of ghee and roast the poppy seeds in low flame to golden color.
  4. Add grated coconut and roast for few minutes
  5. Add finely chopped cashew nuts, almonds,pistachios, walnuts and roast for 5 to 6 minutes.
  6. Add dates and figs coarse paste.
  7. Add cardamom powder
  8. Mix well for few minutes to get an even texture.
  9. Cool it slightly.
  10. Place them on a wooden board/large plate and blend well and form it like a log/cylindrical shape
  11. Roll to get the tight and desired size cylinder.
  12. Cut them to slices  and store in a air tight container.
  13. Dry fruit barfi is ready to eat.
