Aloo Paratha/Potato Paratha

Aloo or potato paratha is one of the famous recipe of India. Most of the time its prepared by North Indians. It is very easy to prepare. Kneading is also easy when you follow the method I am showing here. Do try and let know your opinion about the recipe Preparation time: 30 minutes
Servings: 10 parathas






Ingredients:

Stuffing:
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspoon
Finely chopped onion - 1 cup
Red chilli powder - 1 tspoon
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tspoon
Salt as per taste
Cumin powder -1 tspoon
Coriander seeds powder -1 tspoon
Dry mango powder -1 tspoon
Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
Boiled and Mashed potato -3  cups
Dough:
Wheat flour - 2 cups
Salt - 1/4 tspoon
Oil - 2 tspoon
Water 3 cups
oil or ghee for shallow frying

Method:
  1. Take a pan add oil.
  2. When the oil is hot add ginger garlic paste.
  3. Add onion and stir well.
  4. When onion is cooked add other dry spices mentioned above one by one.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Masala is ready.
  7. Mix the masala with Mashed potato and add coriander leaves.
  8. Stuffing is ready.
  9. Take dough, make it like a bowl.
  10. Fill stuffing into the dough bowl and cover it with dough.
  11.  Follow the steps shown in video to fill the stuffing and kneading the paratha.
  12. Shallow fry the paratha on both sides.
  13. Serve it with the curry.
