Shrimp Methi fry / Prawns Methi fry

Shrimp Methi fry or Prawns Methi fry.
This recipe is same for both prawns and shrimp. I am adding methi /Fenugreek leaves to enhance the taste of the fry.
You can either prepare it like gravy or dry fry depending on the consistency you need.
Simple ingredients and superb taste. You will prepare it again and again.



Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Servings : 1 cup per serving

Ingredients:
Shrimp -500gms
Oil -2 tablespoon
Finely chopped onions -1 cup
Finel chopped methi leaves  - 1/2 cup
Finely chopped tomato - 2 cups
Finely chopped cilantro -1 tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste -1 tablespoon
Green chillies - 2
Salt as per taste
Pepper powder -1/2 tspoon
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tspoon or as per spiciness
Clove powder -1/4 tspoon
Cinnamon powder -1/4 tspoon
Cardamom powder- 1/4 tspoon
Turmeric powder -1/8 tspoon

Method:
  1. Heat the pan.
  2. Add the oil.
  3. When oil is hot add onion, Chopped methi leaves, Salt and green chillies.
  4. Stir for sometime.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  6. Add Tomato and let it cook for sometime.
  7. Add Cleaned and washed prawns or shrimp.
  8. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder ,clove powder, cinnamon powder, and cardamom powder.
  9. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
  10. Add 2 tspoons of oil.
  11. Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
  12. If you need gravy consistency you can stop cooking but if you need dry fry  cook until water evaporates'
  13. Keep stirring. 
  14. When it is done, Garnish with cilantro.
  15. The yummiest Shrimp/Prawn methi fry is ready to serve
