Egg Chilli

Egg Chilli is similar recipe as Egg manhcurian  with slight changes in ingredients.
This is spicy recipe and delicious snacks or side dish. Egg Chilli is a IndoChinese recipe. Though chinese ingredients, the seasoning is done to suit Indian flavor.Its prepared in 2 stages deep frying Maida flour dipped egg and in second stage seasoning with spices and sauces.

Preparation time : 30 minutes
Servings : 8 pieces per serving

 


Ingredients:
For Egg fry:
Boiled Eggs -3
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Salt as per Taste
Oil for deep frying
Ginger Garlic paste -1 tablespoon
Food color -1 pinch (optional)
Red chilli powder

For Sauce:
Chopped Onion - 1/2 cup
Capsicum  -1 cup
Green Chilli - 2
Jalapeno -1
Corn flour - 1 tablespoon
water
Ginger Garlic paste -1 tablespoon
Soya sauce 1tsp
Red chilli sauce - 2 tsp
Green chilli sauce -2 tsp
Cilantro -1/2cup


Method:
  1. All purpose flour, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, food color, small quantity of water and salt in a bowl. Mix it well. Add the cut pieces of boiled eggs and make sure that a thin/thick layer of batter is coated on eggs.
  2. Heat oil for deep frying  pan. Fry flour coated egg until it reaches golden color and take it out from the oil.
  3. Sauce: Add 3 tspoons of oil in pan, add chopped onion, chopped garlic, chopped capsicum, ginger paste, chopped green chilli, salt as per taste, Red chilli sauce, soya sauce, Green chilli sauce, stir well.
  4. Add the mixture of water and corn flour. Mix.
  5. Then add deep fried egg and mix well with spices and sauces cook for 3 more minutes and its done.
  6. Egg chilli is ready to serve
