Chana dal – 1/2 cup
Oil – 3 Tablespoon
Asafoetida - pinch
Dry Red chilli – 4 to 5
Curry leaves
Small piece of tamarind
Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Cumin – ½ teaspoon
Salt as per taste
Method:
- Take a pan add 1 teaspoon oil and roast the chana dal. curry leaves and red chilli
- When chana dal turn goldish add coconut and roast.
- Transfer all to a blender and grind it
- Tempering: Add 2 teaspoons of oil, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Add curry leaves
- Transfer this to the chana dal chutney grinded and mix well
- Chana dal chutney is ready to serve.
