Chakli or Murukku is a crispy and tasty snacks. I have prepared this many times and it is very to prepare. it wont break while making into shapes. Many think making chakli is tough but it is very easy. I have described the ingredients and method here.
Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
Rice Flour -3 cups
Roasted Gram - 1/2 cup
Water - 4 cups
Cumin seeds -1 teaspoon
Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
Butter -20 grams
Sat as per taste
Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Oil for Dee[ frying
Method:
- Grind the roasted gram in mixie and keep it aside
- Take a wide mouthed cooked Kadai, Add 4 cups of Water
- Add cumin Seeds, Asafetida, Butter, salt and red chill powder.
- Mix well and let it come to boil
- When the water is boiling add 2 cups of Rice flour and mix well.
- If you need extra rice flour add and make it into soft dough.
- Now add Roasted gram powder and mix really well.
- Taste for salt and chili powder.
- If you need more you can add and mix well.
- Apply oil to palm, spread it.
- Take the soft chakli dough and fill it into the Chakli maker.
- Deep fry in medium flame until the chakli turns lightly golden color.
- Then transfer to a plate.
- When the chakli is cooled down transfer inro a storage container.
- Close the lid tight and store it.
- It stays fresh and tasty for more than 3 months.
