Paneer Butter masala

Paneer Butter Masala is one of the favourite recipe all over india and some of the asian countries. The recipe is simple yet so tasty.
The main ingredient of paneer butter masala is paneer along with tomato puree, onion and other indian spices. This makes a good combination with Naan, roti, Chapati, kulcha and many more indian breads. The complete recipe is described in this post.

Servings: 6

Ingredients:
Paneer - 250 gms
Chopped onion-1/2 cup
Coriander/dhaniya powder -1tspoon
Garam masala  -2 tspoon
Red chilli powder -1tspoon or as per spiciness required
Tomatoes - 4
Ginger garlic paste -3 tspoons
Cream -1tablespoon (optional)
Butter-3 tablespoon
Oil - 2 tspoons
Salt as per taste
Chopped coriander leaves
Kasuri methi -1 tspoon


Method:
  1. Cut the Paneer into cubes to shallow fry
  2. Take a pan, Heat a spoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. In a low flame- shallow fry the Paneer to golden color and transfer to a plate.
  3. To  the same pan add again a tablespoon of butter. add the chopped onions
  4. Add ginger garlic paste/chopped , mix well.
  5. Add  cut tomatoes and stir fry all these until they are cooked completely.
  6. Switch off the stove and let it cool down.
  7. Grind the cooled mixture to get puree.
  8. To the pan add oil, once it is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, kasuri methi and the grinded masala mixture.
  9. Add coriander powder, salt , garam masala, red chilli powder and mix well. Add water 1.5cup. Close the lid and cook for few minutes. 
  10. Once its boiling, add cream and shallow fried paneer cubes and cook in low flame/sim for 5 minutes.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and butter
  12. Ready to serve
