Chigali/ Black sesame seeds sweet dish

Chigali is a south Indian sweet dish, this is usually prepared using black sesame seeds and jaggery by  south Indian states during sankranti festival or in shravana maasa for Nagarapanchami. In north india  chigali is imli ki goli/Tangy tamarind treat. But the recipe which is described here is south Indian black sesame seeds sweet. Chigali is also called as Yellu unde/Til laddu, but the ingredients used in that dish is slightly different from the one I am describing here. Do have a look at this simple tasty sweet dish.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Servings: 10-12 chigali 

Ingredients:
Black sesame seeds- 2 cups
Jaggery powder- 1 cup
Cardamom powder-1/4 tspoon

Method:
Clean the black sesame seeds , as it has tiny stones in it.
Wash the black sesame seeds and drain the excess water
Take clean cotton cloth and spread the sesame seeds on it to dry.
When the sesame seeds are dry transfer it to a pan and dry fry it for just 2 minutes and transfer to a Mixie jar/blender.
Add jaggery powder and cardamom powder.
Grind it to coarse texture. 
The oil in the sesame seeds and stickiness of jaggery helps you to make them a small balls.
Chigali is ready to serve.
