Chickpeas curry can be prepared very tastily in very short time both spicy as well as non spicy. Its a time saving, delicious dish. Very less ingredients and an easy method. Chole gravy will be an awesome combination for poori, roti , chapati and also you can have with rice. Here the complete recipe.
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Servings: 1 Cup Per serving
Chickpeas - 2 cups
Chopped onion -1 cup
Chopped tomato -1 cup
Potato - 1
Chopped cilantro-1 tablespoon
Curry leaves - few
Salt as per taste
Oil -1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tspoon
Cumin powder - 1 tspoon
Coriander powder -1 tspoon
Garam masala - 1 tspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspoon
Water - 2 cups
Method:
- Transfer all the ingredients mentioned above into the pressure cooker Except Red chilli powder
- Add half the quantity of red chilli powder. As we need No spicy Chole gravy First.
- Close the lid and cook for upto 3 whistles.
- Open the lid, mix everything well.
- Take as much as non spicy chole gravy you need.
- Now to the remaining chole gravy add the remaining quantity of red chilli powder and some water
- Cook for 5 to 8 minutes without closing the lid
- Now the spicy Chole gravy is also ready to serve.
