Servings : 3 cups
Ingredients:
Broccoli - 2 big crowns cut into pieces
Onion chopped -1 cup
Chopped tomato -1/2 cup
Salt as per taste
Oil -1 Tablespoon
Red chilli powder -1 teaspoon
Cumin powder -1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder -1/2 teaspoon
Subzi masala/Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder -pinch
Mustard seeds -1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds -1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida -1/8 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste - 2 Teaspoons
Method:
- Wash the broccoli and cut into pieces
- Take a wide mouth pan , add 1 Tablespoon oil
- When the oil is hot , add Mustard seeds.
- When mustard seeds splatters add cumin seeds and asafoetida
- Add chopped onion an ginger garlic paste. Stir well
- when the onion turns golden color add broccoli
- Add salt and turmeric powder, let it cook
- When the broccoli is half cooked add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well
- In 4 to 5 minutes the broccoli will be cooked well
- You can serve it with roti, bread and also with rice as side dish.
