Aloo Jeera
A combination of Potatoes with cumin seeds.It is a very simple dish prepared to eat as a side dish for rice with sambar or rasam or along with rotis/chapathi/naan.
Preparation Time: 20minutes
Servings : 1 cup per serving
Ingredients:
Boiled potatoes cut into cubes- 4 cups
Chopped onion-1/2 cup
Chopped tomatoes-1/4 cup
Chopped coriander leaves -2 tablespoon
Curry leaves -5 to 6
Chopped green chillies -4
Salt as per taste
Cumin powder -1 tspoon
Mustard seeds -1/4 tspoon
Cumin seeds- 1 tspoon
Oil-2 tablespoon
Turmeric powder -1/4 tspoon
Method:
- Take a pan, add oil and when the oil is hot add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Add curry leaves, chopped onion, chopped tomato and chopped green chillies. Mix well.
- Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt.
- Add boiled cubes of potato, Chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Cook for 5 minutes and serve with rotis or with rice sambar.
