Preparation time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
Butter -
Betel leaves -1
Turmeric powder- 1pinch
Method:
- Place the butter in cooking vessel on stove.
- Keep low flame and let the butter melts.
- Keep stirring continuously or else it gets charred.
- Frothing starts to appear continue to cook.
- At one point the frothing stops and boiling starts with bubbles.
- Add turmeric powder.
- Continue to stir and cook
- When you notice light brown particles or granules add betel leaves.
- After 1 minute switch off the flame.
- Keep the vessel aside so that ghee starts to cool down.
- When it is warm transfer the ghee to a glass or steel container by passing thru steel strainer( put tissue towel or piece of cloth on it) as shown in video
- Store the ghee and serve it when needed.
