Soya Chunks Vegetables Pulav


Soyachunks/Meal maker pulav is definitely a great tasting dish which can be prepared in very less time with ease. Main ingredients are Soyachunks, rice and spices. I have prepared it many times and it always tasted yummy. Do try and you definitely like it.
Cooking time : 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Oil -1 table spoon
Cumin seeds-1/4 teaspoon
Chopped green chilli - 1
Chopped Pudina/Mint leaves  -3 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
Onion- 1/2 [Cut into small pieces]
Tomato -1 [Cut into small pieces]
Boiled Soya chunks -1 -2 cups
Biryani masala -2 teaspoon

Red chilli powder -1teaspoon
Garlic Powder -1teaspoon
Washed Rice - 1 cup [Sonamasuri / Basmathi rice]
Water - 2 cups
Chopped Coriander leaves-1/2 table spoon
Ghee - 2 teaspoon
Lemon juice -1 teaspoon
Salt as per taste
Carrot -1/2 cup
Breen Beans -1/2 cup
Green peas -1/2 cup


  1. Add Soya chunks to a water and add little quantity of salt and cook well and drain the water.
  2. In pressure cooker, Heat the oil.
  3. When oil is Hot add cumin seeds and Ginger garlic paste.
  4. Mix well and Add chopped onion, mint leaves, Tomatoes and all the vegetables and green peas.
  5. Add Soya chunks and cilantro.
  6. Add dry spice -salt, red chili powder, garlic powder and biryani powder . If you don't have biryani powder you can use Garam masala powder. Add water 2 cups and washed rice,
  7. Close the pressure cooker lid. Let it cook in medium -high flame for 2 whistles. Switch off the flame.
  8. Leave it aside until the pressure subsides by itself and them open the lid. 
  9. Mix well and serve hot pulao with Raita.
