Chana Masala/Chole gravy

Chole gravy is a very tasty recipe. It makes good combination of side dish for roti, chapathi and Poori. Also it can be had along with basmati rice. The boiled chickpeas is cooked along with aromatic spices, onion, tomato and ginger garlic paste. The complete recipe description is provided here

Servings: 1 cup for four pooris

Ingredients:
Boiled Chickpeas -200g (Boil the overnight soaked chickpeas with salt and water for 2whistles)
Chopped Onion-1
ChoppedTomato-1
Curry leaves
Chopped Coriander leaves
Ginger garlic paste -1tspoon
Red chilli powder -2tspoon
Cumin Powder- 1tspoon
coriander powder -1tspoon
Chole masala -2tspoon
Turmeric powder -1/4tspoon
Curd-2tspoon
Kasurimethi-1tspoon
Salt-as per taste
Oil -1tablespoon

Method:

  1. In a Pan take oil, heat, Add chopped onion, curry leaves,ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder,Kasuri methi, tomato, salt and cook it by stirring in between by closing the lid.
  2. Slow down the flame and add curd,red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chole masala, coriander leaves , boiled chickpeas along with water used to boil chickpeas and mix well and cook for few more minutes.add water if required. Cook to get desired gravy consistency.
