Paneer Tikka

Paneer tikka is a tandoori recipe. I have prepared it on a tava/pan. It came out be so yummy and very tasty dish. The paneer cut into cubes are marinated with spices and curd and shallow fried on a pan. Recipe is described below. Do prepare and you will like it a lot.
Preparation time: 20 min
Servings: 2 sticks per servings

For Marination:
Paneer - 200gms
Capsicum  - 1
Onion -1
Corn flour-2tspoons
Curd/yogurt -2 tablespoon
Kasuri methi -1 tspoon (optional)
Red chilli powder-1 to 2tspoons
Ginger garlic paste- 2tspoons
Garam masala -1tspoon
Food red colour- pinch (optional)
Dhaniya/Coriander seeds powder-1/2 tspoon
Lemon juice-few drops
Chat powder-1tspoon
Dry amchur powder -1/4tspoon
Lemon juice - 2 tspoons
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow frying on thawa


  1. Cut the Paneer, Capsicum and onion to small pieces or cubes.
  2. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above with Paneer, capsicum and onion. Keep it aside atleast for 2hours.can also prepare instantly.
  3. On a Tava add 2 tspoon of oil spread well and place marinated Paneer, Capsicum and onion.
  4. To cook Paneer,Capsicum and onion it takes less than 5 min.Turn all the sides and cook well.
  5. Remove from tava. Let it cool. Now take a barbeque skewers. Put/insert Paneer, capsicum, onion as shown in image.
  6. To give it a tandoori effect of cooking in oven or barbeque, place the barbeque skewers 3cm above the flame of gas stove by turning the all sides.[Should be done in 5-6 secs]
