Chilli fritters/Mirchi bajji

Chilli fritters/Mirchi bajji are famous snacks for evening time.It can also be enjoyed along with lunch/dinner as side dish.This is a very easy and quick recipe.The chilli fritters are prepared  by dipping the chillies in gram flour batter. And deep fried.The chillies are filled with a bit of salt and cumin powder before dipping in batter. If you find chillies too spicy, just put some lemon juice inside, may be before dipping it in batter or may be latter when its fried. Do try preparing the delicious bajji or fritter and enjoy eating.

Ingredients:
Batter:
Gram flour -2tablespoon
Rice flour- 3 tspoon
Red chilli powder-2tspoon
Cumin powder-1/2 tspoon
Ginger garlic paste- 1/2tspoon [optional]
Baking soda -pinch
Salt-as per taste

Others:
Chilli/Mirchi -6
Cumin powder and salt mix for sprinkling on chillies
Lemon juice
Oil for Deep Frying

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above in batter. Add the water little by little to make a soft batter.
  2. Make a Slit on a whole Chilli and fill with cumin powder -salt mixture and lemon juice.
  3. Take oil for deep frying, when oil is hot dip the chilli in the batter and put in to hot oil. Fry and remove from oil when it is golden colour.
