Dry Spicy Potato

Dry Spicy Potato is a very simple dish and a good combination for rotis and as side dish for lunch or dinner along with rice , sambar or rasam. You can also use this to prepare potato kaati roll or can use as filling for Samosa too. The complete procedure is described in the post.

Ingredients:
Oil-4 tspoon
Mustard seeds
Boiled Potato- 4 medium size
Chopped Onion-1/2 cup
Chopped Green chilli -1
Hing/Asafoetida-pinch
Coriander leaves -1/2 cup
Tomato- half (optional)
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2tspoon
Red chilli powder- 1 tspoon
Garam masala -1/2 tspoon
Turmeric powder-pinch
Cumin powder- 1/2 tspoon
Chat powder -1/2 tspoon (optional)
Salt to taste

Method:
  1. Mash one of the boiled potatoes and cut the remaining potatoes into cubes and keep in a bowl.
  2. Take a pan Add oil, when oil is hot add mustard seeds, Asafoetida, chopped green chilli, Ginger garlic paste, Chopped onion and stir fry for a minute
  3. Add tomato, salt, red chilli powder, chat powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder and stir/mix well for 2 minutes
  4. Add mashed and cubed potatoes and coriander leaves, mix properly.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves
