Tandoori Mushroom

Tandoori Mushroom- It can also be called as mushroom tikka. Mushroom slices or as a whole is marinated  with curd and more spices. It is cooked oven. This can also be cooked on a pan or tava. 

Cooking and preparation time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4




Ingredients:

For Marination:
Mushroom - 250grams (slices or whole mushrooms)

Onion cut into cubes -1cup
Capsicum Cut into cubes
Corn flour - 2 tspoon
Curd/yogurt - 4 tablespoons
Red chilli powder-1 tspoon
Black pepper powder-1/4 tspoon
Turmeric powder-2 pinch
Ginger garlic paste- 2 tspoons
Garam masala -1 tspoon
Food red colour- pinch (optional)
Dhaniya/Coriander seeds powder-1/2 tspoon
Lemon juice-few drops
Salt to taste
Oil- 1 tablespoon


Method:

Oven Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above in ingredients. Keep it for half an hour.
  2. Preheat the oven for 300 degree Farhenite.
  3. Take an oven plate, spread Aluminium foil.
  4. On aluminium foil spread Marinated mushrooms.
  5. Place the plate and cook for 10-14minutes
  6. Mushroom Tikka/Tandoori mushroom will be ready to serve.
Tava/Pan method
  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above in ingredients. Keep it for half an hour.
  2. On a tava add 2 tspoon of oil spread well and place marinated Mushrooms, Onions, capsicum.
  3. Close the lid and cook  well in low flame. Stir them in between and add oil if its required.
  4. Serve hot Tandoori  Mushroom on a plate and add few drops of lemon juice which makes Mushroom more tastier
Cooking on Charcoal/Barbeque
  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned above in ingredients. Keep it for half an hour.
  2. Use whole mushrooms to marinate.
  3. Insert Mushroom , onion, capsicum alternatively to steel sticks/Skewers
  4. Cook in Barbeque/charcoal flame.
