Drumstick leaves Pakoda

Drumstick leaves is very healthy. Leaves have vitamins, carbohydrates, iron, protien, minerals and calcium.Drumstick leaves recipes gives your family a healthy dish and also increases the immunity. Most of the people like drumstick leaves. This leaves can be used to make curry, coconut curry, palya/stir fry, for egg burji and also to make
fritters/pakoda. For those who dont like to eat drumstick leaves, you can just make it as pakoda and give so that they can enjoy the fritters with drumstick leaves.The detail of recipe is given below.
Preparation time: 7-10 min
Servings: 5-10

Gram flour-1 cup or more
Drumstick leaves -1cup or more
Chopped Onion-1/2 cup
Chopped Coriander leaves/cilantro
Chopped green chilli -4
Curry leaves
Coarse paste of garlic 6
Red chilli powder-2tspoon
Baking soda - 2 pinches
Salt as per taste
Ghee -1spoon [optional]
Oil for Deep Frying

  1. Wash the drumstick leaves and drain the water. dried drumstick leaves can also be used if available.
  2. Take a bowl and mix all the above ingredients except oil. Mix well to get soft but thick batter.
  3. Take oil in a kadai for deep frying. 
  4. When the oil is hot, drop the above batter in small quantity and deep fry to get golden color pakodas/fritters.
  5. Drain the excess oil from fritters on a tissue towel.
