Peanut/Kadleykaayi gojju for rice


Kadleykaayi gojju  is nothing but Peanut chutney made to gravy consistency and chopped onions are added to enhance the flavor. The peanut chutney is usually a combination for dosa or chutney but if it left over and stored in refrigerator, for urgency we can just take the chutney in a bowl, add water to get thin consistency and add chopped onions. This will be a good combination for rice and ragimudde too.The detail of recipe is given here, please check and prepare it yourself when you need it.

Ingredients:
Peanuts/kadlekaayi beeja -2cups
Green chilli -6-7
Garlic -6 cloves
Mint leaves -2tablespoons
Tamarind -1 marble size
Cilantro /coriander leaves 1 table spoon
Chopped onion-1/4cup
Crystal salt/Powder salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Dry roast the peanuts and remove the skin of peanuts.
  2. Take a pan ,add half spoon of oil and dry roast garlic, green chilli and mint leaves.
  3. Add peanuts, mint leaves, garlic, green chilli, tamarind, coriander leaves, salt and sufficient quantity of water and grind to get smooth or coarse chutney.
  4. Transfer chutney to bowl, add chopped onions and required quantity of water, Mix well.
  5. Peanut chutney gojju is ready to serve.
