Dry Fish Fry

Dried Fish Fry is an interesting, tasty , simple and quick recipe to prepare.When you crave for fish and you just have dry fish at home, you can make this recipe and it will be a tasty side dish with rice and rasam. This is prepared from very simple and daily use ingredients.
Preparation time: Soaking of fish 20 minutes
Marination 20 minutes , frying 3 minutes.
Serving: 4 per serving

Dry Fishes -20
Salt as per taste
Red chilli powder -2 tspoon or less
Lemon juice- 1 lemon
Ginger garlic- 1tspoon
Turmeric powder -1/4 tspoon
Corn floor-2 tablespoon
Food color-1 pinch (optional)
Oil -100 ml

  1. Take a bowl, add water and heat it. when its boiling switch off the flame.
  2. Place the fish in hot water for around 20-30 minutes. it will become a bit softer.
  3. Remove the fishes and clean them out by removing unwanted parts like gills.
  4. Make a mixture of red chilli powder, lemon juice, turmeric powder, garlic ginger paste,corn flour and Food color(I have not added).
  5. Add fishes and spread the paste on it. Marinate for around 20 minutes.
  6. Deep fry the fish for 3 minutes using very little quantity of oil.
  7. Tasty Dry fish fry  is ready to serve with rasam and rice.
