Goat Brain Fry

Goat brain fry is a tasty recipe prepared with goat brain. we add onion, tomato, green chilli and other spices to enhance the taste when the brain is mashed along with other ingredients while cooking. I usually add less red chilli powder or spices to avoid too much spiciness. If you want the dish to be more spicy add more red chilli powder and other spices.  Preparation time: 15 minutes
 Servings: 3 cups

Goat Brain-2
Mustard seeds-1/4 tspoon (optional)
Jeera/Cumin seeds-1/4 tspoon(optional)
Chopped onion -1 cup
Chopped tomato-1 cup
Chopped green chilli-2
Chopped coriander leaves/cilantro-1/2 cup
Red chilli powder- 3/4 tspoon
Pepper powder-2 pinches
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspoon
Garam masala powder-1/2 tspoon
Oil-2 tablespoon

  1. Take a wok/pan/kadai -Add oil. when oil is heated add mustard seeds and Cumin seeds.
  2. When mustard splatters add Green chilli, onion. Mix well and let the onion becomes transparent.
  3. Add tomato, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, Pepper powder, garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add Goat brain and mash it well using a ladle or spoon to blend it well with other ingredients. Add some quantity of water(1/4 cup) if required so that it wont get charred.
  5. Close the lid and cook in simmer 10-15 minutes. Lets cook it completely well.
  6. Once its cooked, Add coriander leaves and mix well. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  7. The goat brain fry is ready to serve.
