Soyachunks Gravy

Soyachunks/Mealmaker Gravy is a ood accompaniment with any Indian flat breads, noodles and rice too. Main inredients are soyachunks, coconut, tomato and spices. Do prepare and you will definitely like it if you loves soyachunks.
Preparation time :30min

Soyachunks -200gms
Chopped onion-1/2
Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
Mustard seeds and cumin seeds
Lemon juice -2 tspoons

For masala:
Onion -1/2
Tomato -2
Grated coconut-1/2 cup
Garlic-5 cloves
Ginger -1/2 inch
Coriander leaves -1/2 cup
Salt as per taste
Red chilli powder -1 tspoon
Super garam masala - 2 tspoons
Cumin powder -1/2 tspoon
Coriander powder -1/2 tspoon


  1. Grind the ingredients mentioned in masala
  2. Soyachunks are cooked well in water along with less quantity of salt. Use a big deep cooking pan to cook soyachunks as the water oozes out if you use a small pan.
  3. Heat the oil, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, let it crackle.
  4. Add chopped onion and fry to golden.
  5. Add the masala and soyachunks. Soyachunks starts absorbing the spices.
  6. Cook for 15 minutes, switch off the flame.
  7. Add lemon juice, mix and garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Soyachunks gravy is ready to serve.
