Ingredients:
Gram flour/Besan -4tspoons in water [Thin paste]
Salt as per taste
Chopped green chillies -1or 2
Chopped onion -1
Chopped tomato -1
Chopped cilantro -1
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds -1/4tspoon
Asafoetida/Hing -pinch
Turmeric powder -1/4tspoon
Oil -4tspoons
Method:
- Mix besan with water to make thin paste.
- Take a small wok/cooking vessel, add oil, when oil is hot, add hing, mustard seeds,green chillies, onion, curry leaves. Saute for few minutes.
- Add tomato, Turmeric powder, salt. Pour the thin paste of gram flour and stir continously to avoid the formation of lumps. if necessary add water.
- Make chutney of required consistency. Good with roti, chapathi, wheat dosa...
