Garlic pickle

Garlic is good for health. so why not try garlic pickle. I tried preparing the garlic pickle which is one of my favorite. The garlic pickle turned out be so very  yummmy and awesome. Very simple and yet so tasty. The recipe is described below, do try and let me know how you liked it.

Garlic -5 bulbs [gives around 30cloves]
Lemon juice -1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder -5tspoons
Salt - 2 tspoons
Oil -1tablespoon
Turmeric powder- 1/4tspoon
Mustard -1.5tspoon
Methi seed/Fenugreek seeds-7 seeds

  1. Peel the skin of garlic. make thin pieces of it and crush lightly so that it absorbs salt and spice well.
  2. Take a glass bottle with wide mouth- add Garlic pieces, lemon juice and Salt. Mix well and close the lid. Let it be for 6-8 days so that garlic absorbs salt and sour. Daily just shake the bottle to mix them up.
  3. After 6-8 days add Red chilli powder, Mustard powder, Fenugreek powder. Mix well. Close the lid of container. Keep it for an hour.
  4. After an hour add the oil [Heated and cooled] to the prepared mixture.keep it for  2 days in airtight  container and can use it from next day.
  5. Store in refrigerator for more shelf life.
