Avarekaalu usli

Avarekaalu usli/ Surthi papdi/Hyacinth beans sundal is a tasty, easy and quick recipe. It makes a nice side dish along with food or can be good snack in the evening. the procedure is described below
Preparation time:20 minutes
Servings: 5-6





Ingredients:
Fresh or Frozen Avarekaalu -400 gms [Boil in cooker for one whistle with salt and water]
Turmeric powder-2 pinch
Ginger  paste- 1/4 tspoon
Chopped Green chilli -4
Chopped Onion-1
Coriander leaves-1 tspoon
Grated coconut -1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
Oil -4 tspoons

Method:

  1. In a kadai add oil, when oil is hot Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, green chilli, ginger paste, onion, grated coconut and fry for few minutes.
  2. Add boiled Avarekaalu and coriander leaves and mix well , stir for few minutes and switch off the flame.
