Ingredients:
Black eye peas boiled Stew -3cups
Green chilli -2
Red Chilli-2
Tomato-1
Chopped Coriander leaves-2 tspoon
Garlic -8
Mustard -1/2 tspoon
Jeera-3tspoon
Jeera powder/Cumin powder-2 tspoon
Black pepper -1/4 tspoon
Curry Leaves
Asafoetida-1/4 tspoon
Tamarind concentrate -2 tspoon
Salt as per taste
Method:
- Take a Pestle and mortar, Crush Red chilli, green chilli, jeera, black pepper, Garlic to get coarse paste
- Take Tomato and squeeze it using palm in a bowl and make a rough puree or blend in a mixie.
- Take a Kadai add oil, When oil is hot add mustard seeds, Asafoetida, curry leaves, Coarse paste prepared, Chopped coriander leaves, Tamarind concentrate and tomato coarse puree and mix well.
- Add Black eye peas stew, salt as per taste, cumin powder and mix well. Bring it to boil for 5min.
- The tasty Rasam is ready to serve with rice.
