Hesarukaalu Usli/Green gram sundal

 Green gram sundal/Hesarukaalu usli is a very easy yet healthy food. Boiled green gram are tempering to get a very yummy taste. We usually prepare at home and it tastes so good. Do try the recipe. The complete description of recipe is provided below

Ingredients:
Green gram/Hesarukaalu -150gms [ Soak the green gram overnight and boil in a vessel water and salt, Dont use cooker to boil it, it will get mashed]
Mustard seeds -1/4tspoon
Cumin seeds-1/4tspoon
Turmeric powder-2 pinch
Ginger  paste- 1/4tspoon
Chopped Green chilli -4
Chopped Onion-1
Coriander leaves-1tspoon
Grated coconut -1tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil -4tspoons

Method:

  1. In a kadai add oil, when oil is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,curry leaves, asafoetida, green chilli, ginger paste, onion, grated coconut and fry for few minutes.
  2. Add boiled green gram and coriander leaves and mix well , stir for few minutes and switch off the flame.
